My Cancun Favorites!!

Emma was a good sport for this. She had a fever and felt terrible. I told her just one good smile. You can tell by her eyes that she wasn't feeling well.

I added a Lily Blue action to this picture to give it that vintage look.

Cancun: The pool and the beach....

Well this is actually just a dolphin from the Cancun Aquarium.....

...and these are of Jill and Annabella....but the next pictures below are from the pool and the beach! LOL!

AT THE POOL....

I had to throw this picture in....everyone at the pool wore thong bikinis. Everyone..even a lady that was about 7 months pregnant! This made for great entertainment for Bart and Ryan. Hmmmm...now that I think of it, they did want to go to the pool a lot! LOL!

There was lots of "cat walking" on this ledge of the pool! This was a different pool that we were usually at and no one was ever there because it was shallow for kids. They also had a swing set that looked just like ours out sitting on the cement!! Not many safety precautions in Mexico!

This was my view for most of the time!! Just laying by the pool relaxing and drinking my drinks!! It is nice that the girls are older and can swim well. They are very content just swimming in the pool for hours with each other!! LOVE THAT!!

Hey...I am not in the pictures much because I am the picture taker!! But Jill took the two above!! See I was really there!! BEACH TIME!!

Cancun has extremely blue water! It was the bluest water I have ever seen! I thought Honduras and Belize had blue water, but this blew it away! B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!

I love this picture of Ryan balancing Annabella on his hand!! She is very good at this little trick!

Holding the ROTTEN coconuts. They found these coconuts and Ryan helped the girls break them open on the beach. OK...these things were ROTTEN inside and smelled so gross. Then, of course, it dripped all down the girls arm and legs so they smelled like rancid, rotten coconut juice! Lauren was gagging and almost throwing up...she has a BAD gag reflex. Emma was cracking up. I swear....

Good times, good times!!

Cancun!!

Ryan and Jill just left our house. They stayed a few extra days to relax. I don't know how relaxing it was for Ryan because he was laying on the couch the whole time feeling sick. He came home with a nasty cold. While we were in Cancun, Emma was also a little sick for a day. She had a fever and was all mellow and lethargic. :( And, of course, both girls had a hacking cough that kept me awake for most of the nights!! But they all seem to be better now!

So, now I have had a minute to sit down and get some of the pictures on the blog! This post will have pictures of Cancun during the day and night. The next post will have Beach and Pool pictures!

Cancun during the day.

Cancun is a very small strip that has one main road and a few side streets. We walked most places and then took the bus everywhere else. The bus was so easy. Since there is only one main road you just hop on and off where you need to be and they show up every two minutes!! Ryan and Bart took the bus a few extra times to get groceries from the Walmart that was about 20 minutes away.

We walked down to this flea market where they sell your usual Mexican crap!! They even invite you in to their shops to "come look at their junk!" Then they get all pissed off if you pass by their shops! They were all over the tourists, super aggressive. Jill bought a ton of those little wooden animals to give to her students at school. That night, Lauren played with them for hours, so the next day, Bart took her back to the flea market so she could get some!
