Camping Day 2

August was such a good little helper with Grayson.  When he was not playing with Grayson, he was chopping wood.  NO , we did not tell him he had to, he wanted to!!  Ryan taught him how to chip away at it with an angle and to be sure not to let the ax swing back into his legs.  Ekkkks. I was a tiny bit nervous with this, but August looked at me like I was nuts for even thinking he could not do this!!  LOL!!  Tyler had some wood cutting time too, but my camera must have been put away! 

Annabella will pose for me whenever I want.  It is so funny becasue she was younger, she would not even look my way! Now she is all smiles!!

AHHHHHH...one of the best part of the trip for the kids was definitely the tree Sea-Doos we had up there.  They did this for hours and hours!

It is starting to get dark and the kids are ready for s'mores!!! However, Annabella had to sneak in one more shot with her daisy chain head piece!!

Heading to Detroit Lake!

Day one of camping meant driving for 5 hours...it is a long way to Detroit Lake!! August and Hazel,  our neighbors headed down there with us.   They were super good travelers on the way down as they just watched movies.  so we didn't hear much from them! ;)  Emma was already at the campsite as she had been down in Oregon for the past two weeks and headed over with Ryan and Jill to scope out a site.

We did not get there until right beofre dark, so basically we only had time to set up camp and have a small photo shoot in the field.  I am not sure the kids were too thrilled with this impromptu shoot, but I told them this would be the only time I asked them for photos. I kind of lied though becasue I made them pose the next day...but only for a few shots.  ;)
