Happy Halloween from my very sweet Snow White and super cute Pirate Girl!! They were super excited this year with their costumes..not because they liked them, but because I let them wear some make-up. You would have thought they had died and gone to Heavan!!!!! Last night we also went to Bart's work. Microsoft puts on a big Boo Bash for the kids. Lots of activities, a haunted house, candy up the wazoo, pizza, cupcakes...then of course Ian and Lauren had to ACT like they were Bart when we went to his desk!! Right now the kids are out "Trick-or-Treating" while I hand out the candy bags!! :)

{Early release days..}

Has to have the menu and everything

My little waitress..

The cook

The customer

The customer Wow..those are big teeth coming in..

making mac and cheese on early release day The mess

Early release days...gotta love them. Everytime there is an early release day..my kids want Macaroni and Cheese when they get home. They will even skip lunch at school because they know they can eat at 1:30. Well...I don't mind that they want Mac and Cheese..I mean who doesn't love Mac and Cheese. What I mind is that they always want to play restaurant. I absolutely LOATHE this game. In fact it is not a game at all. It is more like a torcher session for me!! Emma is the waitress who bosses everyone around....you sit down, she takes your order..then she gets all flustered with making your food. Hmmmm, wouldn't it be easier if I just made it, I ask???....No, SHE wants to do it...of course. Finally we get our food and eat it..Yum..delicious...so glad we played this game. Then all of a sudden "game" is over. Kids run off and me, MOM, is left with the above mess!! Like I said..gotta love early release days!!

Pumkin patch fun!! The past two weeks we ventured out to the local pumpkin patches. The first one we went to was Remlinger Farms and the next week we went to this one..Craven Farms. Both fun, but both a little different. Craven was a little smaller and no rides. But the kids loved going throught the corn maze. It took them almost 20 minutes to get out!! We went to both farms with the Hinzers...and Hazel our neighbor, also went with us to this farm. I will get the Remlinger pictures up soon!

{Who Says Money Doesn't Grow On Trees???}

DSC_4825WEB

Seriously..How cool is this?? Ian made Hillary a "Money Tree" for her birthday!! A tree filled with $20's, $10's and $5's..oh and one $1 bill just cause I had an extra one!!! Then he filled the top of the dirt with change!! A perfect gift for a girl who is hard to buy for! Here are some shots from her birthday. She was so excited... to say the least! Cash was here too. He got to spend the night because Stacy is in Hong Kong for work and Eric was at the Husky game! Oh and if you are wondering why Lauren is wearing those beautiful glasses...her and Emma went to see "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" in 3D and she hasn't taken them off since! Dork!!

{Harvest Moon}

Harvest Moon 10-04-09
I wanted to get a picture of the Harvest Moon tonight so I ran over to Rob and Kaleen's to take a shot or two. Unfortunatley, I got over there a little to late, so the moon was not that big orange color. I also do not have a super wiz bang zoom lens, so I used my 55-200mm lens which is a kit lens, which is basically a piece of crap!! If I remember, I may try it again tomorrow night and get there a little earlier!!

{Such a Tragedy}

This is so sad. This is a lady who is on a photography forum that I read often. Her son got the Swine Flu and was admitted into the hospital on September 30th. Unfortunately, it was posted on the site that he died earlier today. He was a young, healthy kid and only four years old. Everytime I start thinking about this, it makes me so sad. It makes me scared to let my kids out of the house!!
