Pike Place Market

A couple of weeks ago, my cousin came up to visit her daughter that goes to UW for mother's day. She brought her other daughter with her and we all decided to trek on down to Pike Place Market!! These shots are not technically perfect...maybe even "snap shotty", but navigating through the crowded market with my two kids in tow is a challenge in itself!! So I was lucky to get any snaps!! LOL! We had a great time and got to show them the sites!DSC_5107blog

Just some shots of the city people. The guy below was tending to our very favorite donut shop in the market. It has the greasiest, little donuts...but they are soooo good! Doesn't he look thrilled to have me taking shots of him?

Of course we had to stop at Starbucks. We have many streets in Seattle that have a Starbucks on each corner...so we frequent them often. This Starbuck's is special though, because it is the very first one!! It is where the madness began!! :)

Shots outside the market. Lauren and daddy taking a break in the middle of the road. It was closed off today. It is also very bright and sunny...something we are not used to in Seattle! HaHa!!

The girls all stopping for a shot and Ian, my brother getting in on the action. He is sporting his "new stash". It is now gone...that was a short phase, thankfully!

Another street vendor. My girls did not believe he was real, until someone gave him money and he came off his podium to shake their hand and then FROZE again! Not great shots of him, but his make-up was amazing!

After going through the market we hopped on the underground buses and headed to the international district. It was a short ride and we did it more for fun...so after a few minutes there, we hopped on the new sound Transit for the ride home!! It was a fun day of sight seeing...bus riding, train riding and eating!! My cousin said she felt like she went on a full vacation in just the 4 hours we were there!! LOL!

{52 Week Project-Week 21}

21-52

Whoops..I forgot to post my 52 week project photos.  I have had them sitting in my Lightroom just waiting to go.  I am really wishing I would have done a flower for each of my weekly pictures.  That would have made for a cool book at the end.  Maybe I will just do that anyways and instead of the the weekly numbers I will  put the name of each flower.  Hmmmm....that will be my NEXT project. Right now,  I am so behind on blogging it is not even funny!  Every day I have such good intentions on adding things to it.  I have Emma's play to blog, her softball pictures.  I have a bunch of cute shots of Lauren...some more of the cutie that I watch on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  I just need more hours in the day!  Hopefully I will get them all up before summer vacation starts.  that is my goal so I can start summer with fresh new shots of the girls enjoying their summer days!!

Happy birthday to Emma. Today she enters the land of double digits!! The big 10! These were the cupcakaes we made last night for her class. My friend Lisa gave me the great idea of the flowers. After we finished, she chose were we would go out to eat with Bart's parents. I knew we would either be eating at Red Robin or The Ram. Yep, I was right, she picked The Ram!! Wonder where we will go tonight for her real birthday??? I will give you one guess! :)

{Happy Sunday}

...spring is here

Happy Sunday to everyone.  this was a flower i took a picture of on my walk to get the girls from school.  If you look closely, you can see me in the water drop up at the top!  Then I put a texture overlay from TRA!
Today is going to be housecleaning day for me.   Both girls have a birthday party to attend so I will have a couple of hours to speed clean and get some stuff done!  I will also get a few shots of Emma's game up too.  It was so beautiful out yesterday for their game! They won 15-11! Yay!

{52 Week Project-Week 19}

Scout earns a spot on the blog today!!!  No particular reason, except that I keep "dogging" her on Facebook!!  I had her as my status update of how I couldn't believe that my family talked me into having a pet.  Not that we all don't love her...just that "I" can't believe "I" have a pet!!  A pet that "I" get to clean up after because my kids who were supposed to be cleaning up after her, are not the most reliable care takers!! LOL! However, they are getting a little better!!

You know how people say that people look like their pets??  Well it is kind of true.  I was at Green lake yesterday and there was the tallest, skinniest lady walking her very tall and skinny dog. It was a Greyhound or a Whippet or something.  Then this other lady walks by with bleach blonde hair and tons of make-up..she was all dolled up and she was carrying this pure white, fluffy puff ball with a bow...see again, looked like her owner.  So then I looked at Scout...I am pretty sure I am not a short, squatty, red head with freakishly curly hair...so I am going to say, I do not look like my pet!! :)

{52 Week Project-Week 18}

18-52

Peek-A-Boo....I see you!!  No matter where you hide Anna, I can still get a shot of you!!  :)

WoW!! This week I have been doing lots of projects.  It is Teacher's appreciation week at OV and I have been there everyday helping out to make the teachers feel appreciated.  Every day of the week they get a different themed lunch in their staff room.  Asian, Italian, Mexican...etc, etc, etc.  They will get a little of everything this week.  I am also on the yearbook committee and the deadline happens to be smack-dab in the middle of this crazy staff week.  Throw in Emma's softball games three times a week, ice skating on Wednesday...three birthday parties last weekend and a photography workshop this Saturday and that equals one exhausted mom!!  I have a newborn session to finish editing on Sunday too...but I just remembered that is Mother's Day...so I will have to finish that on Monday!! Hey, that is my day...I can't be working!! ;) I hope you are all having a good week!!  Next week will seem boring compared to this one!
