{My kids sold me wrapping paper for this???}

duck

Are you kidding me.....Emma and Lauren came home with their school fundraiser just dying to go out and sell some magazines, candy, wrapping paper, jewelry and basically whatever other crap they could stuff into this brochure!!!  I decided this year that we were not going to go peddle this stuff.  Last year they went to all the neighbors, friends and family members and sold a whole bunch of stuff...but I was really disappointed in the quality of the products, so I said no way this year!!  But I did give in to the two little pouty faces that were sad because if they didn't sell stuff they wouldn't get their prize!!  Well people..I hope it was worth buying $60 dollars of wrapping paper for two of these little rubber ducks!!  LOL!!  Next year I will just give the school $$$$ and get each kid my own version of the prize!!!

{Pumpkin Carving}

See...I told you I was going to play catch up!!  These were from Halloween.  We were busy this year so we did not end up carving the pumpkins until the day of Halloween.  Which is just fine by me.  I reaaaalllly don't like having to do this activity.  I know, I know, there are a lot of people that get into it.  But I am just not one of those people.  I find absolutely zero enjoyment in cutting up a pumpkin and then having to get all the slimy, wet, cold insides out.  Then after doing all this having to meticulously carve out a face or pattern that should be somewhat recognizable!!  The kids beg and beg to do this..until the time comes, then they think it is fun for the first three minutes...after that, they are tired and frustrated and want the adult to finish it up and clean up the mess!!  See..not so fun!! LOL..That is why I give this task to Bart!!  This year Bart tried a new way...he got this from the neighbors..he cut out the bottoms.  There are two bonuses to this.  A.  Most of the slimey insides are attached to the bottom, so they come right out and B.  you can just set the pumpkin on top of the candle!! :) Pfft..and after all this I forgot to take a picture of the carved pumpkins.  So imagine a ghost, a house and a UW Husky. Right now they are all sitting at the bottom of my yardwaste...

Oh my...I am way behind on my blog!! These pictures were from awhile ago, but the girls keep reminding me that I have not put these or the pictures of them carving the pumpkins on the blog!! So here I go..this week I will be getting as many of them up as possible!!
We had such a great time at Remlinger Farms. We went with the Hinzers again..yes, we went to Craven Farms with them too. Stacy has a love of Halloween and pumpkins and pumpkin patches!! LOL!! The kids got to ride ponys, they rode on the train...and best of all..the climbed to the top of the rock wall. They were very proud of themselves because there were adults before them that could not make it to the top!!
