I had a date the other day with my 50mm 1.4 lens, just me and my lens!! I am not sure why, but I rarely use this lens. This needs to change because it takes super sharp pictures. Since I have been neglecting it, I decided to walk around shooting things in my neighborhood. I had no specific plan on what I was going to take pictures of...just things that caught my eye, while I was walking around.
The little truck above was all by it lonesome on the curb...left behind by a kid who had better things to do!
A Suzuki parked under a tree.
Someone's pride and joy. A super,shiny Chevy.
An old GMC..guess I was on a vehicle theme!!
Another Chevy.
An address.
A bunch of garbage cans, perfectly lined up.
A lawn ornament that cracked me up. Lawn ornaments always make me laugh. This one is so ugly...that it is actually cute!! LOL!
Some pretty flowers.
A lone flower.
A nice window.

And a cool birdhouse with some fun Bokeh!

Yay!! I got to have a shoot with a baby boy!! A nice change from doing all the baby girls!! He was such a sweetie...but he hated any of the hats..so we didn't get very many of those :)

OK....this painting project has finally been completed!!! The house looks so much better!! WE love the new colors and so do all the neighbors!! I think Ian and Bart are so sick of looking at paint that they could just throw up thinking about it!!! LOL. They worked really hard to make the house look perfect. They were out there morning to night. Plus we lucked out because Paul's son, Bryce, got us a really good discount on the paint!! So Thank You to Bryce too!! :)
Ian had no problem painting the high areas. Bart, well, he was a little more of a scardey cat and was more than happy to have Ian do it. Who knew?!?!? I guess Bart has "height" issues!! Good thing he works in an office!
His lovely painting attire...kinda Klu Klux Klanish....
Bart was a masking fool. Luckily I didn't have to take part in any of this. All I had to do was get them drinks and lunch!! Easy enough!
Pretty much this picture tells it all......Ian is probably thinking....how did I get roped into painting my sister's 3400 sq ft house, that is about 40 feet high?!?!??! Plus he had just got done painting our rental a few weeks before. Such a great brother.....most of the time!No..I am kidding...we really do appreciate all the hard work Ian put into these projects!!
The gutters just hanging out drying. On one of the nights after painting, it started pouring down rain. Of course that was the night the gutters were sitting here hanging out in the backyard and not on the house. RAIN..in AUGUST. C'mon..I know this is Seattle, but c'mon!! Bart was just sick....he fretted about the paint all night. Luckily it was fine in the morning....but I did have a dream that we woke up and it had all washed off and ran down the street! LOL.
The mess that comes with working!
The 48 foot ladder we had to rent. That was fun to bring home on top of the Rover!!
Bart better watch it, Ian is starting to crack.....
