My Project is DONE!!

Yay..Yay..Yay!!! I have this VERY blank wall at the top of our stairs. It has been blank forever, because I just could not find the right art to hang there. It is wide and kind of odd shaped so all the art we looked at would not work. So there is sat, a big, BLANK wall. Even my mail carrier commented on how bare it was. But, a couple of weeks ago I saw this idea on a website. They had hung 9 pictures on the wall, like a cube. I thought to myself, HEY, I could do that. So I picked out nine pictures that I really liked and had them printed ..BIG!!

Then I bought the frames. All the prints came today, so I quickly cut them all to size and got them all nestled in their new frames.

When Bart got home I gave him the task of hanging them! However, he passed that task off to Ian. He said he would rather i get mad at Ian if he screwed it up!! NICE! But then they actually both ended up hanging them!!

All hung, I am so happy..No more bare wall...I think it looks AWESOME!!!!

Emma is NINE!!!

Can you believe that? I have a NINE year old. A walking, talking NINE year old! Where does the time go? It feels like just yesterday I had her! But really it was nine years ago!! We thought we were going to be at our cabin over her birthday, so she had a small party with some school friends at Planet Happy Kids last week. They made plant terrariums and after that they each made a bottle of lotion. Very fun! They also got to pet the store's pet hedgehog named Little Foot. That little hedgehog was so cute!
Then this weekend, we surprised her and had her good friend Isabella over for a sleep over. We all went to the pizza place by our house and then we went to the new movie theatre by our house. We saw Night of the Museum : Battle of the Smithsonian. That was fun. The theatre was so nice and it has an IMAX. But..movies are expensive...for the five of us to go it was $68.50. There went all my garage sale money!! LOL!

Garage Sales=Odd People!

What a bunch of Wackadoos....yes, that is what I am going to say about 85% of the people who stop at garage sales. Ian had a bunch of electrical tools and crap that was taking up my WHOLE garage. He didn't really need a bunch of it, so we decided to have a garage sale. We started this yesterday. Watching people at garage sales is so amusing. They go over each and every thing, studying it, analyzing it, asking a bazillion questions about it. Some have to buy something just to buy it. You can tell the "professional" ones. They are there first. They never offer full price and they walk through like they are on a mission. Then you have the ones who only have a few bucks, and want can the item for that price. Some people talk to themselves the entire time. WEIRD! Oh and this is a good one, they always ask you if you have this or that. Well...if I had it,wouldn't it be out there? Then I would get... "are you sure?" Well, yes I am sure!! I am freaking POSITIVE!
All in all, we did very well! Ian sold over $300 worth of stuff and I just threw out stuff around the house that we didn't need and made $150. So that is pretty good for just sitting around watching people. We ended our sale early today though. Way to nice out and we are going to Rob and Kaleen's for dinner. sitting on their deck drinking sounds waaaay more fun!! So now all of our stuff is sitting out in the driveway with a FREE sign. You should see the people out there now. People love FREE STUFF!!

Baby Anna

Look at this cutie pie!! My friend came over today so I could practice posing a newborn. Ok, let's just say...that was waaaay harder than it looks!! They like to move around and stretch alot!! She was not too happy with us moving her all around when she got all comfy either! But for the most part she was pretty cooperative. What a little sweetie!! Are you wondering what those pink, poofy things are? SLIPPERS....aren't those hilarious? Thank you Jodie for letting me use your little model!! I have a few more I will be posting tomorrow!

Photography Assignment

This weeks assignment for my photography class was to take pictures of silhouettes, to take pictures using the sunny 16 rule (those will be in the next post) and to take a picture of something 25 minutes before sunset and then 25 minutes after sunset. I chose the Seattle skyline. If you click on the pictures, they will get bigger. My favorite part is how the street lights have the star flare!! I love flare!
This is the Seattle skyline 25 minutes before sunset, very grey and dull...... This was the same scene taken 25 minutes after sunset. Shooting 15-30 minutes after sunset will let you get the water and sky to have those deep blue colors. The second one looks so much better!!
These were my silhouette pictures. I like how you can see all the people up on the hill at Gas Works Park. It was warm out, so there were a ton of people just hanging out. Can you see the people flying the kite???
These were just taken for fun on the way home. We stopped and took some shots on the overpass near our house!
