It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want too....

Today is the last day of my Photo A Day project!! This picture pretty much sums up the way Lauren feels about me taking her and Emma's picture daily!! LOL!! No, just kidding...she likes to have her picture taken, but only when it is on her terms!! :) All I could think of when shooting this was ..."It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to!!!" She didn't like me singing this!! She is no fun!!

Birthday Girls!!

Yea!!! We actually had a nice day so Lauren could ride her bike!! Our goal is to get those training wheels off soon. If we even suggest it, she freaks out. She says, "I don't want to fall, I have to keep them on!" I told her Emma had hers off when she was five and you are going to be six in a few days...which she replied, "SO?!?!" ROFL!

Lauren opening up her birthday presents on Saturday, we celebrated early with friends and family!

Fridays are my day to volunteer in Emma's classroom. I got a shot of her while she was illustrating her presentation that she was doing for the class. Later I helped them in gym for biking. Geez..it takes 25 kids a LONG time to all get their helmets on, get their bikes and take them all out to the playground. After they were all geared up, they practiced safety skills and riding through obstacles. Hilarious!!

Almost done...

Just a few more days and I will be done with my Photo A Day!! This is a good thing for two reasons...

A. The girls are getting tired of me taking their pictures..

B. I am running out of ideas!!

Photo A Day

Ouchies!! Emma got hit in the face tonight at softball practice. She was getting already to catch a ball during a drill and got nailed in the cheek. So now she is laying on the couch with a bag full of ice on it!!

Lauren is so excited for her birthday that she can hardly stand it. Everyday she does her own personal countdown until the big day!!

Getting ready for Easter here in our house!! Lauren is lucky..every once in awhile Easter is on her birthday, but not this one!!!! :) The girls at Gas Works Park!

No school for my kids this Friday!! So we had to get Emma's ortho appointment out of the way!! Hopefully, she will be getting these braces off soon! Which will make her sad...she loves them! Go figure!

Lauren and her doggy, Scout. Ok..trying to take a picture of a dog and a 5 year old is no easy task. One of them was moving at all times. So this is the best I got out of about 20 shots. I know her face is blown on the right side, but after a bit, I just said forget it......oh and Scout is in need of a grooming!!

Pop, Pop, Popcorn...who doesn't love popcorn?? Lauren has to have a snack everyday when she comes home from school..and then she has another snack 2 hours later when Emma gets home. No wonder she is never hungry for dinner!! ;)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! I have been so busy lately so my last three Photo A Day's are all in this post!!

Daddy and daughter enjoying a story. Bart never gets much camera time!! Poor guy! Lazy Sunday. This picture is nothing special, but I added it because this kid LOVES to build forts. She builds them in the living room, in her bedroom, on the treadmill, you name it!! When I passed by her room today, she was all snugged into her fort playing her DS. These random blankets were draped from her dresser to her vanity to her baby highchair...very creative!!

What an unwilling participant!! I got my new 85mm lens in the mail today and Emma would not even look up for a picture. What a little piss ant!! So I snapped her anyways!! Love the new lens!! ♥ Here is the color version and the black and white version. Love that bokeh!!

Lauren received a package today from Suzanne for her birthday. She was so excited, she ripped it open with great anticipation to see what was inside!! Alas...the package was opened and out came a brand new bead set!! She got right to work..she said she was making me a pair of earrings! Nice!! Beads, Beads, Beads...and more Beads!!!

The dreaded after school homework....

Everyday...it never ends.....for the next 9-13 or so years!!! Emma is actually pretty good about doing her homework...if she is not distracted. So we definitely have a No Computer, No T.V. rule until it's finished!

The joy of jumping..Lauren LOVES jumping on her bed. This little habit only bothers me when she jumps off onto the floor. It is so LOUD downstairs, it sounds like she is going to come straight through the ceiling!

Day 6 of Photo A Day..

Lauren came home from school today and literally skipped all the way down the hall and plopped herself on the couch. She was so excited because her teacher sent home a "Little Bear" book for her to read once a day. She said her teacher told her she was a very good reader and gave her a chapter book to practice. WOW!! She was so excited that she could read a chapter book. She has been working on it for the past hour. She kept asking me if I could believe that she can read chapter books now. Well, yes, Lauren, I can!! What a proud kid. So that is my picture of the day. Her reading and sounding out her words...her little furrowed brow is so cute!

Jason and the Argonauts

My Day 4 picture was of Emma's Play. {JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS} It was awesome!!! They all did a GREAT job. It was held in Nathan Hale High School's theatre. The kids have been working for months on this and the day had finally come. We went to the opening show on Friday with Bart's parents and the closing show last night with Ian and the kids!!

School Spirit Day..

Guess what today was at school?? No, not pajama day, that was a few weeks ago. It was Dress Like A Parent Day. Today at 8:43 AM, Emma thought she should get to wear my high heels to school. YEAH RIGHT, guess again my dear 8 year old!!!! What does one do to dress like a parent?? I had no idea what they should do so we didn't do it at all!! My kids pretty much wear what I wear already! LOL. They wear Sevens, Converse..Flats...or Uggs, and shirts. Hey, just like me!! They are mini-me's!!!

If you are wondering what the date thing on my last three pictures is for....it is because I am doing A Photo A Day for a month with my photography friends!! :)
