{My last post of the year}

DSC_7657

OK..the fisheye lens was fun..but I am back to my normal pictures!!  The fisheye kinda makes you feel sick when looking at them!!  So this will be my last post of 2009!  Yay! I have been doing my blog for a year and a half and now I am going to have a company "slurp" it all into ONE, BIG BOOK!!  It will be fun for the kids to look through the book and see all the things they did.  It will also be fun to see how much my photography has grown!!  I have been going back and forth on whether or not I will continue my blog.  On one hand I love to update it and have the info there for a new book next year, but on the other hand..IT IS ALOT OF WORK!!  I may just continue it and just not post almost everyday!  I don't know....I don't kow if there is anyone even out there reading it!

Anyways..I wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  I hope 2010 brings everyone Health, Happiness and Love!!!

Oh and a very special Happy Birthday to my dad.  He would of been 61 today!!  He loved his birthday because there was always a huge celebration!!  We love and miss him very much!! XOXOX

signing off for 2009.....

{Christmas Eve}

DSC_8111

This has been a very busy Christmas Week.  So now we are on Christmas Eve.  For most of the day we hung around the house and then after dinner, we headed over to our neighbor's house for a holiday open house.  We always have a great time at Jen and Trey's, but we headed home early so the girls and Annabella could open a few gifts.  When I was growing up, our family opened all of our presents on Christmas Eve and then the Santa presents and stockings on Christmas morning.  Bart's family opened all of their presents and santa goodies on Christmas day.  So this year we told the kids they could open a few gifts tonight and then the rest in the morning.  They didn't really care how we did it...just as long as they got to open something tonight!!

Some shots from the 23rd. None ot the shots are SPECTACULAR..but I did rent a fisheye just to mix it up a little!! :)  At the beginning of the night we walked over to Kona Kitchen for dinner. They have the best food ever!! The girls were both little "butt heads" and got themselves in a bit of trouble so Bart told them they were not allowed to go over to the Swanson's next.  Earlier they had called and said to stop by and have a drink or two while they waited for Ryan's mom, Rebecca and her husband Dick to get there.  Once they showed up, all the kids, minus mine who were at home, LOL..along with Peter and Holly (kids at heart) counted all the presents!!  They grouped them in piles of five..ya know to make it easier! Ahh..to be young again!!

Are you ready?? I think I am! :) Actually, I have no other choice than to be ready. My family all got into town last night and we have a full house and when I say we have a full house, I mean a HECTIC house too, very hectic! To top it off..I am sick...aaaack, not a good time to become ill! But nonetheless, I am excited for the holidays to begin!!

Look at Santa's Reeindeer. Oh and that huge camel!! I think more people were looking a the camel than the reindeer. But not us..that thing was slobbering all over everyone..EWWWWWWWW. Seriously, kids were standing under his head that was hanging over the fence looking up at him and HUGE, strands of slobber would fall down on them. Emma and Lauren stayed clear of that. There was no way they were going to even get near that thing!! We got lots of fun pics too. Lauren brought her camera and decided she would practice. LOL! She looked like a professional product photographer out there, moving items around and setting things up for her shots. I had to kindly remind her that things were glass and mom would have to buy them if she accidently broke anything. You can even she her chimping her shots. That means looking at the screen after your shot for any of my non photog readers out there!!! Can you believe Christmas is almost here? Funny how the month of December always flies by so fast!!
