{...and today is Lauren's Birthday!!}

Today Lauren turns seven!  It is amazing how fast time goes by.  I can remember having her like it was yesterday.  She was induced on March 31st because I did not want to have her on my birthday, March 30th and Bart did not want her born on April Fool's Day, April 1st!!  So March 31st it was!!  She loves having her birthday so close to mine.  Every year she tells me how excited she is that we have our birthday's so close to each other!!  Lauren already celebrated her birthday this past Sunday at the pool.  She invited her class to a swimming/pizza party and had a great time!!!  I will get those pictures up soon.  Later that night her grandparents came over to celebrate and have a birthday dinner with her!!  Now we are in Oregon, so tonight we will go out with Uncle Ryan and Aunt Jill, Annabella and Suzanne to celebrate at Red Robin.  She gets so excited when they come sing to her....it will probably scare the beejeeebies out of Annabella!! LOL!!  Another highlight of her day was going with Aunt Jill to school.  Jill is a grade school teacher in Oregon and they had Spring Break last week, so she asked Lauren if she wanted to be a guest at school today in her classroom with her students.  Lauren was so excited she could hardly sleep.  Not often a kid is excited about going to school on their Spring Break!!!! ;)

{Happy Birthday To Me!!!}

Today I turn 38!!!  Happy Birthday to me!!  Just a quick post because we are headed out the door to Oregon!!  Lauren was so cute when she got up she brought this card up to me and told me she loved me.  Awwwwww.....I asked her if that was a bow on the left side of my head.  She said, "No, mom, it is your ear, you always tuck your hair behind your ear on one side".  Wow..very observant..but does my ear stick up on the top of my head like a one-eared bear??? LOL!!  She told me she was in a hurry so she just used a pen, no markers.  I feel the love!! But hey, did you see the part that says MOM ROCKS on the cake??  I must be doing something right!! :) Now Emma, she just said Happy Birthday and rolled her eyes at Lauren when she saw the card.  HAHA!!

{52 Week Project- Week 12}

Ahhhh lady..can we get a move on.  I am sitting here, I smiled..now I have some swinging to do! The weather in Seattle was GORGEOUS today.  Warm and about 68 degrees out.  For some reason I could not get warm this morning and I even turned the heat up.  Do you ever have those days where you just cannot get warm?  So as I was putting away the dishes I saw that our thermometer was reading over 65 degrees.  What the....I should be outside.  So Anna and I headed out to where is was actually warmer then inside!! Summer is just around the corner! :)

Well crud...I forgot the most important picture!  My brother Ian was out when Lauren was letting everyone know who got what cookie...so she left him a note.  In case you are not fluent with 6 year old writing..it says:

Ian I have certain ones for the family Love Lauren Peace Out Dude!

...and guess what??  He knew what it meant.  She had certain ones saved for him! LOL!

{Happy St. Patrick's Day!!}

Happy Saint Paddy's day to everyone!!!  Lauren made these yummy cookies for us to enjoy.  They were tasty and so beautifully decorated!  We also had a very naughty leprechaun visit us last night.  He did all kinds of crazy things in our house.  He made a mess of the toilet paper, he turned our bagels and milk GREEN, he opened up every cupboard, he gathered all the couch pillows and stacked them on top of each other and he switched all the chairs of our two dining room sets!!!!  What a mischievous little guy!!  After causing so much trouble...he was nice enough to leave the girl's some cupcakes and green flowers!!

{52 Week Project- Week 11}

My poor blog was neglected this past week!!  Emma had her big play production over the weekend!  It was super fun.  all of the kids did such an awesome job.  They had sold out shows on both Friday and Saturday with approximately 1400 people in attendance total!!  WOWZA!!!  I will have those pictures up this week!!  So keep an eye out!! :)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this kid!!  She looks like she is contemplating life here.  Looking out this window and wondering...just how does this world work?  I just look at her and wonder...how does my little girl grow up so fast? Soon she will be 10.  She just told me the other day that she would be in double digits soon.  At first I was confused and asked her, what is that?  Only to be reminded in such a pre-teen tone that it meant she would soon be TEN, you know mom, double digits, like duh. Geez,  how could I be so stupid?? LOL.  Emma is so full of energy and spunk, she is such a happy kid....oh and  so good at pushing me to my LAST WIT....but also so full of LOVE with such a big heart! :)

{Leavenworth, Washington}

Have you ever been to Leavenworth, WA? It is a cute, little "Bavarian Village" about 2 hours East of Seattle. It is very touristy on the weekends and during the summer. However, when we were there is was DEAD!! No one was there hardly. We walked around browsing the stores that are filled with "crap no one needs, but feels they must buy"! They even have a Christmas store that is open all year long..hence the Christmas shots above! :) After our lunch of sausages and sauerkraut...(the kids were none to pleased with the is lunch)..we were on our way back to Seattle!

The Dirty Face Lodge...such a great place to stay at!! the name is perfect for Amelia..if you notice, she got into her mom's make-up and did a little work on herself..in the shot below she is make-up less! LOL!
