Lauren had her talent show the other night. Oh WOW!! It was hot in the auditorium and I am always so impressed at how many parents show up to watch 31 skits and songs from K-5 students! Sure it is fun to watch your own kid...you love their little skit no matter how much or how little talent they have...you have to out of parental obligation. However, to watch 31 in a row...now that is just dedication. So that is what we did. We sat through all 31 acts and watched our Boo Boo do her skit about MAP testing which then turned into a bubble gum commercial. She was the teacher, of course, Ms. Wilkinson! Now I do have to say, it was a tiny bit humorous that the couple in front of us also sat through all 31 acts waiting to watch their child. However, they stepped out for a few minutes to get some air and wouldn't you know it...that was the EXACT 3 minutes their child was up. So basically they sat through 30 skits and missed their own child. Now that is some bad luck!
