Lauren got a call the other day from her modeling agency. They had a fun shoot at Renton Municipal Airport and wanted to know if she was available! Sure, we said! When we got there it was a class of students from Seattle Central Community College. They are in a two year commercial photography course and their end of year project was the annual "Crewdson" photo shoot. "Crewdson" is a yearly assignment where we are challenged to create one very high production image in a week with money they have fund-raised. It is a real live photo shoot using real props, real models and their own concept. The student with the best idea was voted the winner and then became the producer of the shoot. They actually did a great job! They had the models...check. Hair and make-up was done..check, a stylist..check...the venue check. They even had the food table, lol, you have to keep those models happy!

Models are dressed and ready and just waiting for their instructions. Oh yeah, but there is food...so of course they had to have some fruit and cookies!! ;)

Here the kids are getting some instruction on what they need to do. They want them to be having an "epic" paper plane fight in the middle of the airport. There were over 400 paper planes. Now that is some serious dedication to a set!
It is getting darker and threatening to rain so they must act fast. At times the lights were falling over due to the wind. Then it did start to rain, so they covered a bunch of them, but then it let up just in time to get their shots they needed!
Last shot from me!! My D700 can only handle so much in the dark without being totally grainy!
....and here it is!! Their final class image. They were so nice to send it to me!! I wish I had one where I could see Lauren little better...but hey I have all of mine, right!! What a great time. They even sent Lauren a thank you note today in the mail. What a class act those students are!! I would give them an A+ just on their positive and friendly attitudes alone!! ;)
