This tragedy hit a little too close to home. On Wednesday I received a text from my daughter that her school had been placed on lock-down. Soon after we were informed that a 40 year old man had walked into this cafe and shot 5 people, killing four of them. He then left on foot and headed downtown where he shot and killed an innocent woman in order to hijack her car. He then fled to West Seattle where he ended up shooting himself once police were closing in on him.
Of course this is scary and unimaginable, but even more so when it happens less than 30 blocks from your house. When it is across the street from your chiropractor’s office. When your friend’s neighbor is one of the victims and when you are just steps away from the tragedy today at your appointment. Such a sad day for Seattle. I pray for the six families who have lost their loved ones.
